I did not know your dad very well, but I do know he made a great impact on a lot of people's lives. He was a great man, and we just have to keep thinking that one day we will see him again. I know I don't know you or your family personally, but please know that I am praying for all of your family. In HIM,Shannon McCarty

Prentice and Barbara had a profound effect on our lives at Prestoncrest Church of Christ. We included a tribute to him in our latest blog at http://pattersontwoforone.blogspot.com.
We are former members of Prestoncrest CofC. We are still in shock and so saddened after hearing of Prentice's passing. Prentice will never know the impact he made on our Christian walk and my faith grew deeper every time I heard him preach. He was a remarkable Christian and will be deeply missed here on earth! The angels are rejoicing with him now and may you take peace and comfort in knowing that we now have him on our side watching over us until we meet him again. You are in our thoughts and prayers. With the love of Christ,Wade & Michael Ann Ramer
"Our shock and sorrow is equaled only by our respect for this man of God. Precious memories of Prentice, Barbara, Lori, Mark, and Kimberly flood our hearts. We are grieved, but know that the Holy Spirit is holding the Meador's as one."Sharon and Ken Kahmann/Springfield, MO
Your South National Church of Christ family pray daily for you and your whole family! We miss Prentice every day. He and my Grandad were very close. May Prentice now rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus! With love and prayers,Shelly (North) Lockhart
I'am terribly sad to hear about Prentice loss. He finished the race well. I believe that Prentice was one of the brightest brothers in our brotherhood. He has influenced me greately in the preaching ministry and he did not even know that. What e great loss for us on earth but God took him in as he has promised us.Prentice came to Tirana Albania in 95 and shared Jesus with Albanian, after 50 years of comunism. May the Lord comfort you and your family Barbara. We are with you and share your pain in this sad time.Love, Cimi, the minister to the church of Christ, Durres, Albania.

Prentice is gone from this earthy life but he lives on in our thoughts, in our minds, and he will always be a HERO of faith. Debbie and I will always cherish his friendship, love, care and unspeakable determination to take the gospel to the nations. For the last twenty seven years we have been very close to Prentice and Barbara. I had the privilege of preaching the gospel of Christ with Prentice in Russia, Albania, Greece and United States. Prentice was always ready to help us, to encourage us, to love us and to show us how to reach out to those in need.We will never forget his humor, his company, his love for Greece and the Greek civilization. Last July we had the privilege of spending 2 days in Nashville visiting with Prentice and Barbara. He gave us a tour of Lipscomb University and took us to the neighborhood where he was raised. We had such a good time together! He has influenced our lives for good. We know that we are servants of Jesus because Prentice taught us with his lessons and example, of how to serve, to love, and to minister to those in need. Last Sunday I was preaching at a new congregation on the island of Crete but my thoughts and prayers were with Prentice while he was in Hospital. Barbara we love you and think of you, may we all follow in the steps of this faithful servant of Jesus. Prentice, one day, we will meet again. Dino & Debbie RoussosAthens, Greece
My cousin just send me a message about Prentice. I was actually thinking about him last week. Talking to my son-in-law who is taking a church in Iowa. His first pulpit assingment. And I was telling him about preachers I have know and what made them really great - if I can use that word.I heard Prentice preach and had a few short conversations with him 30+ years ago when I would visit my folks in Springfield. I travel a lot and get to visit many different churches, sometimes you just know when you encounter a true man of God. PM was one of those people. There are dozens of comments on the site right now, When we all get to heaven, I can't wait to see how many people are there because of folks like Prentice. Praise God for the ministry of this man, and his family.
To the Meador Family,I remember Prentice when I was little. My Parents always talked of him and I know he was a family friend. My Mom passed away 2 years ago and he helped my Dad through alot. He called everyday and made sure our family was ok. I pray for all of you in this time...Much love to you allKim Feliciano (Goss)
My heart and prayers go out to the entire Meador family, but I especially want to give my sympathy to Linda. She was my student teacher in 1965-66 at Stratford HS in Nashville. She was a big influence in my life to become a teacher. I have taught for 23 years after staying home for 15 years to raise my four sons. I have thought of her many times over the years. Each time I would hear something about Prentice I would think of her. Linda, I know faith, family, and friends will carry you all through this difficult time.Sarah McDonald McBride
Greetings from Rostov-on-Don, Russia. It's just after midnight there in Nashville on Christmas morning and if I'm not mistaken, it was a month ago already that Prentice left us. Just to let you know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. What a bittersweet time - the sorrow, the anguish even of the first holidays without a loved one and all the memories. All the memories. And yet the sweet hope of eternal life and promises we have in God's word. Just to let you know that we still remember Prentice with gratitute and fondness and that you all are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. May you feel comforted especially on this Christmas day.Well I'm off to an orphanage this morning - 100 abandoned little ones, from birth up to 4 years of age. They're doing their holiday program today, since Dec 25th is just another day on the Orthodox calendar. I'm remembering how Prentice delighted meeting orphaned children here in Rostov and how he brought them little gifts of jewelry from the US. Which they're probably still enjoying to this day.S BOGom ((Go) with God)Eileen
